Der Regionale Wachstumskern Oranienburg - Hennigsdorf - Velten legte im September 2006 das Standortentwicklungskonzept vor. Darin werden Schlüsselmaßnahmen formuliert, die einen Beitrag zur Verbesserung der Standortrahmenbedingungen leisten. Die Prognos AG, Berlin, bewertete das Standortentwicklungskonzept im Auftrag der Landesregierung und kam zu einem sehr guten Ergebnis.

Die Landesregierung bestätigte in ihrem Kabinettsbeschluss vom Dezember
2006 die landesseitige Unterstützung für die Umsetzung einzelner Maßnahmen.

Dazu zählen die

Schaffung von Erweiterungsflächen H.E.S. - Revitalisierung Fläche
    Altwalzwerk am Standort Hennigsdorf 
Gestaltung des Bahnhofsumfeldes Velten
Aufwertung des Bahnhofsumfeldes Oranienburg
Flächenentwicklung am Innovationsforum Oranienburg.

Die Themen "Bildung und Qualifizierung" und "Gewerbeflächenprofilierung" setzt der Wachstumskern in Eigenregie um.

Der aktuelle Sachstand der Projektumsetzung und Vorbereitung ist im Statusbericht RWK O-H-V mit Stand Juni 2008 dokumentiert. Als neue Schwerpunkte der Zusammenarbeit im Wachstumskern werden die touristische Profilierung, umweltfreundlicher Verkehr und Mobilität sowie die Entwicklung des Rathenau-Campus in Hennigsdorf als Innvoationsstandort genannt.

    Concepts and projects

The regional growth Oranienburg - Hennigsdorf - Velten (RWK O-H-V) made a location development concept in September, 2006. Key measures are defined which are contributing to the improvement of the frame conditions. As per the local government the Prognos AG, Berlin, analyzed the concept and got very good results.

The grovernment confirmed by cabinet decision of Decemter, 2006, the support of implementation of individual measures.

The regional growth O-H-V implements the topics "education and qualifying" and "commercial profiling" by itself.

The actual status of the project implementation and preparation is documented in the status report of June, 2008. Touristic profiling, environmentally transport and mobility as well as development of Rathenau-Campus in Hennigsdorf as location of innovation are the new focus of cooperation in the regional growth O-H-V.
